COLLECTIONS

My work explores the intersections of girlhood, womanhood, and selfhood through a lens both intimate and psychological. Rooted in personal experience and informed by my life across the UK, China, Korea, Singapore and Vietnam, my paintings examine the quiet dualities of identity—the visible and the veiled, the public and the private, the cultivated and the concealed. Engaging with ideas of cultural displacement, memory, and emotional shadow, my practice navigates what it means to inhabit the self as both subject and observer. Working primarily in oils, I use light, layering, and gesture to evoke presence, vulnerability, and the unseen. After graduating with a BA (Hons) in Fine Art in 2004, I’ve spent the past two decades immersed in both art education and my own creative practice. I’m currently pursuing a Master’s in Art History while continuing to travel across Southeast Asia.
